Raw to kibble

As mentioned in my similar thread in the Feeding Frenzy Dog section, I decided to put the girls on kibble until after the move and whatnot.

I wanted to record any changes I saw here.

I put them on Orijen 6 Fish Cat. Here's the ingredient list for that too:

Fresh deboned salmon, herring meal, salmon meal, russet potato, fresh deboned northern walleye, salmon oil, peas, potato starch, whitefish meal, sweet potato, fresh deboned Lake Whitefish, fresh deboned herring, natural fish flavors, fresh deboned lake trout, fresh deboned flounder, sun cured alfalfa, chicory root, dehydrated organic kelp, pumpkin, carrots, spinach, turnip greens, apples, cranberries, Saskatoon berries, black currants, psyllium, choline chloride, licorice root, angelica root, fenugreek, marigold flowers, sweet fennel, peppermint leaf, chamomile flowers, dandelion, summer savory, rosemary, vitamin A, vitamin D3, vitamin E, niacin, zinc proteinate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, vitamin B5, iron proteinate, vitamin B6, manganese proteinate, copper proteinate, folic acid, vitamin C, biotin, vitamin B12, selenium, dried Lactobacillus acidophilus, dried Enterococcus faecium fermentation product.

They ate it the first day (we're on day three today) and they were pretty hungry cuz I hadn't thawed any raw, so they ate quite a bit.

The next morning, I put more kibble down for them, and they looked at me like "mom, you have to be kidding us, give us the real deal!" but no. So when I came home, they had eaten it. Gave them some more, and they ate that too...Rya is a good chewer but Deia just swallows it. I asked at the store and was told that it was relatively normal, and she'll start chewing soon.

They're still begging for their raw though, and acting like starved little thangs.

Well, haven't noticed much of a difference except slightly larger, looser poops but nothing serious; the protein level in the kibble is much higher than in raw so their bodies are adjusting.

I notice too that they drink alot more water. I've been mixing canned in with their meals to get more moisture into them so that's going good. But it's like bowl after bowl between the four of them, and I have a big bowl! They only touched it a few times a day when on raw, and only for a minute.
